We are currently recruiting for two specialist counselling roles within our growing Community Counselling Service. These are exciting opportunities for qualified counsellors who are passionate about supporting vulnerable women and families through experiences of grief, loss and trauma.

Post Miscarriage Counsellor (8 hours)

Supporting individuals (and partners) who have experienced miscarriage and other forms of pregnancy loss. The role includes counselling, assessments, volunteer support, stakeholder engagement and service development.

Child Separation and Adoption Counsellor (12 hours)

Supporting women affected by child separation through adoption, relinquishment or removal, including women involved in the criminal justice system. The role includes counselling, assessments, partnership working and supporting volunteer counsellors.

Volunteer Community Counsellor

Volunteer Prison Counsellor

We are currently recruiting placement and qualified counsellors to join our Community Counselling and Prison Counselling Services, supporting clients facing:

  • Mental health challenges during pregnancy and after birth

  • Pregnancy loss (including abortion, miscarriage, or stillbirth)

  • Child separation and adoption

Boutique Volunteers


Application deadline: ongoing

 

Many parents and caregivers struggle to afford baby and children’s clothes and equipment. Boutique supports clients struggling with parenting challenges including, isolation and relationship issues, and offers both emotional and practical assistance.

Boutique is open on Mondays for client appointments and Friday mornings to receive donations. There are a range of volunteer roles and tasks available including receiving and sorting donations, hosting and meeting clients at King’s House in King’s Cross. Each of these roles are equally vital, and we could not deliver our service without our dedicated volunteers.

Boutique Appointments Volunteer hours:
Mondays 10am - 1pm and/or 1pm - 4pm

Boutique Donations Volunteer hours:
Fridays 9.45am – 12.45pm

We ask for a minimum monthly commitment.
